WHAT IS ETHICSThe world ethics is derived from Greek work

‘ETHOS’ which means character.Work ethic is a set of values based on hard work

and diligence.Work ethics include not only how one feels about

their job, career or vocation, but also how one does his/her job or responsibilities.

complete any task.Strong work ethics in all facets of our lives, is

nothing more than positive mental attitude.Strong positive work ethics is one of the rungs on

• The real test of ethics occurs when you or anyone encounters a situation that challenges personal ethical beliefs and standards. Often unclear and unexpected, these ethical challenges are predictable, and everyone has to be prepared to deal with it.

Ethical reasoning can be focused on answering two kinds of questions:

1) Definitive questions (defining the facts relevant to the question);

2) Reasoned judgment (somewhat intuitive).

4 Questions to Focus on When You Have to Make an Ethical Decision:

1) What are the other competing, interpretations of the situation or problem?

2) What is the cash value of the situation or problem?

3) By reviewing your vision, values, and mission statements and company policies, is how you handle the situation clear?

4) As the individual who needs to make the ethical decision, are you committed to doing the right thing?
