The Club at TwinEagles, host of the PGA TOUR Champions Tour ACE Group Classic from 2003 through 2006, is the only private club in Florida with championship courses designed by two living legends -- Gary Player and Jack Nicklaus. The Talon, an 18-hole championship golf course co-designed by Jack and Jack Nicklaus II opened in 1999. It features 7,193 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The Talon has all the unique Nicklaus staples: length, tough approach shots and undulating greens. The course is extremely fair and multiple tee boxes make it enjoyable for players of all levels. The course can be played without any forced carries. Rolling fairways offer generous landing areas lined with live oaks and slash pines, and the moderately undulating greens are well bunkered. Vegetation, including oaks, palm trees and natural cypress hammocks and lakes provide a beautiful backdrop for the course.

The Aerie Golf Course was designed by Gary Player. Mr. Player was given one main directive in his design of the new 72-par Aerie championship golf course: Create a user-friendly course that complements, but differs, from the Talon. That mission was accomplished, living up to the promises with the panache one would expect from the Grand Slam winner, and one of the game’s greatest designers. With its low profile design, proliferation of waste bunkers and varied green sizes, the Aerie, which members have been testing out since its soft

opening in late December of 2006 gives players a completely different golf experience. Although the sand areas can be intimidating, the sand is firm so you can hit any club, including putter, to get out. To provide options off the tee, the fairways are generous and the greens subtle. But don’t mistake its user friendliness with ease. Four sets of tees, from 5,210 to 7,428 yards, create a challenge for any skill level.

There’s no better evidence of TwinEagles’ passion for golf than their expansive short-game complex. It is one of the most extensive facilities of its kind in Southwest Florida.
