The new cole International School in Differdange (EIDD) due to open in September 2016 ha!e welcomed

pro"pecti!e parent" to two information e!ening" in the la"t wee#$ The "chool wa" delighted with the turn out of o!er

200 people for the"e e!ent" run in %rench & then Engli"h$ 'fter a warm welcome b the Differdange communit thee!ening proceeded with a detailed eplanation of the hi"tor b *erard +en" who i" heading up the pro,ect$ Thi"

began with the plan" to build a new -cee .la""i/ue in the commune and grew into the idea of a more inno!ati!e

idea for a multicultural area that reflect" the di!er"it of language" and nationalitie" in -uembourg$ The model for

the new International "chool wa" ta#en from the European School ""tem that i" mo"t "imilar to the -uembourg

"tate "chool" multilingual approach$ The "chool will be a "tate -uembourgi"h "chool with the added accreditation

of a European School with lin#" to and etra /ualit control pro!ided b the networ# of European "chool"$

to open before all the building" were fini"hed becau"e the pro,ect did not want to wait 4 ear" to "tart opening it"

-e!el (S1) with etra preparator cla""e" for integrating Secondar aged "tudent" without the nece""ar le!el to

The "chool will offer an Engli"h and %rench "ection and all children will learn -uembourgi"h ("po#en) and another
