Rotary Resources - PR

"It doesn't matter how good you are if nobody knows you're there...."

This statement from Roger Johnston, Marketing Consultant, says it all.

In these days of falling service club membership, how can you attract new members to share the work - and the fun? This question is on every Rotarian's lips and is probably the most important aspect of Rotary right now - membership growth depends on marketing your club. No growth inevitably means a decline in numbers.

Rotary Down Under would like to help you. Please read the pdf about PR >>.

The Rotary FoundationWeek 1: This week’s Rotary Foundation Thought is about PolioPlus. In 1985, Rotarians made a promise to the children of the world to eradicate polio. Since PolioPlus began, the number of polio cases

worldwide has declined by 99 percent, thanks largely to the efforts of Rotarians around the world.

Rotarians have committed nearly US$650 million toward global polio eradication efforts. Already, five million children are walking who would have been paralyzed, and more than 1.5 million lives have been saved. None of this

would be possible if it weren’t for Rotary’s leadership and vision. What a wonderful legacy we are leaving to the children of the world. Goodbye Polio. Thank you, Rotary.

Christmas In

July

The club will be holding a Christmas In July dinner on Thursday 23rd July - 6:30pm for 7:00pm start.

It is open to family and friends, and we'd love you to invite them along. Bring a whole table! It is a fundraising event for the club, and we need a minimum of 30 people for catering purposes The cost will be $50pp, which will cover the cost of dinner, wine.

Instructions for

16th JulyDue to a conflicting booking of the Bethesda Cafe on the 16th July, we will be using the Seminar Room on the 1st Floor.

Roh will signpost the way - once you enter through the main entrance to the hospital, there are stairs and a lift immediately on the left. If you take the lift to the first floor, turn left, and the Seminar room will be sign posted, a little way up the corridor on the right hand side.
