L1 Requirements
• Has acted as a judge at a sanctioned event twice in the last 6 months
• Brief interview with, and written recommendation from, a L2+ judge
• Passing score on L1 test
• Knowledge of tournament structures with experience as a player in sanctioned events

L2 Pretest Requirements
• Must have written at least one review
• Must have judged at least one REL Competitive event with a 2nd judge
• Must have acted as HJ at least in one event with a 2nd judge (can be same event)
• These are minimum requirements to be considered for testing.
L2 Interview
• Must have passed L2 exam
• Knowledge of rules and policy
• Deck verification procedures
• Requirements for testing a new judge
• Willingness to mentor and certify other judges
• Diplomacy with players, judges and TOs
• Willlingness to participate in the judge community
