1,800 Thank you’s!
1,800 is the approximate number of books, CDs, and DVDs donated by library patrons to
the Friends’ August Curbside Book Drive. Thank you to all who made donations to the
drive, as well as to those who placed donations in our lobby book bin!
Donations like these help re-stock our storage shelves for our book sales, the proceeds of
which are used to fund special library programs and projects.
Thank you again for your support!
Where in the World Is the
Emporium? Emporium: A place that is an important trade center; marketplace. A retail store which carries a wide variety of merchandise. Yes, that is a fancy name for the library’s gift shop. Many of our Emporium volunteers are told by our customers that they did not know the library had a gift shop. So, we are offering a challenge to all of you. If you can find us [hint: we are located at the northeast entrance to the library] and mention this Happenings article, we will give you a small treat. Be sure to stop by the next time you are at the library! Please note that the Emporium is only open when staffed by a volunteer. This offer is good through September 29th, 2012.
