At Get Real 2014 in Long Beach, CA, we announced the formation of the Nerium Scientific Advisory Board. The six experts that make up the board will augment our company’s internal scientific expertise and support our mission by providing additional awareness on advances in science, high-impact ingredients, and overall health and wellness as we continue to develop our product offerings and grow internationally. The role of the board is to provide third-party, objective advice and guidance on education, research, and scientific message. Please understand, none of the board members are endorsing the products or acting as spokespeople for the products or the Company. They act solely as independent advisors for the Company. We are thrilled to have these experts as part of our team. And, we’re happy that they have been so well received by all of our Brand Partners. However, as with all of the Nerium corporate programs, please make sure that you only use messaging that is written and/or approved through corporate. Do not create or use your own marketing materials or messaging when talking about the Board. Here are some Do’s and Don’ts to follow in regards to promoting the board: Don’ts: Do not contact any of the board members, their peers, employers, universities, etc. in any manner, including through social media. If you have topics or questions you would like us to consider getting covered by the Scientific Advisory Board, please email scientifi[email protected]. Do not create or post anything regarding the Scientific Advisory Board outside of what is corporately provided on any social media sites – this includes but is not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, etc. Do not create any marketing materials pertaining to the Scientific Advisory Board. The Company will provide you all approved copy and images. Do not make any changes to the materials provided by the Company. Everything you use should be stated exactly how it comes from corporate, using only approved language and graphics. Do not record any of the presentations from the board at any Nerium events. Do not use the word “endorse” or “sponsor” in any of your posts or copy regarding the board in general, or any of the specific members. NOTE: If you have already posted any non-corporate-supplied images, endorsement copy, or videos to any social media sites, please remove them immediately! Do’s: Do use the approved Nerium International marketing materials to promote the Scientific Advisory Board. There are multiple items that are already available for use including: o Social Graphics: found on Nerium’s Facebook page o Press Release: found in the “In the News” section of Nerium.com o Blog Post: found at neriumblog.net Do repost and retweet any of the content that’s posted on the Nerium Corporate social channels. Do talk about your excitement that Nerium has a new Scientific Advisory Board, but DO NOT talk about them endorsing or sponsoring the products. Failure to comply with the Do’s and Don’ts outlined in this document will lead to disciplinary action as set forth in the Policies and Procedures Manual.
