The Salient features of the Companies Act of Aug2013 are as under :

The new rule is applicable from the FY.2014-15

Any company having a net worth of

a) Rs. 500 Crore and above

b) Turnover Rs.1000 Crore and above or

c) Net profit of Rs. 5 Crore and above are requiredto take up the CSR activity

SALIENT FEATURE OF CSR


Minimum Three Directors with One IndependentDirector.

The committee encourages the company to spendat least 2% of the average net profit (Before tax) ofthe previous Three years on the CSR activities.

Profit earned out side India need not be included.

The company may implement the approvedactivities by the board.

COMPOSITION OF CSR COMMITTEE :


Directly on its own or through their non-profitfoundation.

MODE OF IMPLEMENTATION :

The contents of the policy are required to bedisclosed in periodical reports and also publish thedetails in the company official website. For anyreason if the company could not spend the moneythe reasons may be indicated.

DISCLOSURE / REPORTING :


Three or more directors with one independentdirector.

Formulate and recommend CSR policy to the board.

Recommend the activities and amount ofexpenditure to be incurred.

Monitor the CSR policy from time to time.

ROLE OF CSR COMMITTEE :

Refers to what the company expects to achieve in next few years in different activities.

FRAME WORKING OF CSR STRATEGY :

Focus on disadvantaged, marginalised and excluded families.

Municipal Primary and Elementary schools

Police Establishments

Haritha Haram (Greenary) etc.

TARGET GROUP :


Training to vehicle drivers and Road safetyeducation.

Provide aid to disabled persons.

Training to agriculture labour .

Donations to IIM-A for conservation of buildings .

Protection of national heritage art and culture.

Disaster relief like medical aid, food supply andsupply of drinking water etc.,

ACTIVITIES COVERED :


Trauma Care centres around highways.

Rural development projects like Housings, Schoolbuilding, Library, Drinking water, Medical aid etc.,

Supplementing government schemes like Mid-Daymeal.

Slum development and EWS housing.

Salary paid by the company to CSR staff.

The company can liberally interpret the eligibilityprogrammes, so as to capture the essence of thebeneficiaries.

ACTIVITIES COVERED :


NCC housing colony – Alluri Narayanarajupuram,Antarvedipalem during the year 2019-2020

Company has undertaken to construct another 24houses (16 units of 2 bedroom – each measuring ofaround 725 sq feet and 8 units of 1 bedroommeasuring around 300 sq feet, independent houseseach admeasuring 615 sq feet. costing Rs.2.80 Crores.

NCC – Indiramma housing during the years 2008-2009 and2009-10.

The total area is 3.84 acres.

The company in association with the StateGovernment has constructed 168 houses forweaker sections in Antarvedipalem village,Sakhinetipalli Mandal, East Godavari Dist, AP.


ACTIVITIES COVERED BY THE COMPANY SO FAR :

The state government has contributed Rs.35000/-per each house.

We have contributed Rs.55000/- per house.

Each house is constructed in 90 Sq.yds and thebuilt up area is 332 Sq.ft consisting of one bedroom, hall, kitchen and a toilet.

The amount spent on this project was Rs.92 lakhs.
