A Letter From The CEOWelcome Home!

Native Grill & Wings is a brand with 35 years of operational excellence and a strong family history. Founded by the Anderson family in 1979, they were the first restaurant to bring “traditional wings” to the Arizona market. The family, who moved out to Phoenix from Buffalo, knew a thing or two about wings and great flavor. Originally known as Native New Yorker Restaurants, the brand slowly grew organically by providing a “cult” following of wing enthusiasts all over the state of Arizona. Winning awards and opening new restaurants for their raving fans became a story like no other. With the success of the brand, Native New Yorker Franchising, LLC was formed in 1993 to drive methodical and scalable growth. With 30 plus locations now open in multiple states, the brand has positioned itself for continued growth. We are the “Coolest Place for the Hottest Wings.”Our strong system-wide innovation and leadership allows our franchisees to be heavily involved in the success of our brand. Native Grill & Wings will provide an upbeat, energetic, and innovative place for our friends and families to enjoy a polished sports grill environment.

We have built a model around providing an inviting atmosphere for all genres, specializing in families and big parties. Not only were we first to introduce the Southwest to fresh, never frozen wings, we are still the only concept that allows our guests to order all 20 plus flavors individually. Nonsense? No…awesome! We have experienced 25% or greater growth over the past three years. We are embarking on international expansion as well as our continued domestic growth. We provide a great neighborhood atmosphere where you are never surprised to hear our customers say “That’s my Na-tive...I’m heading to this Native…We just had our team celebration at our Native!” Please look to Native Grill & Wings as your new home. We welcome you and your family to experience and enjoy our great brand. We believe in Big Games, Big Fun, One Big Family: My Native, Our Native, Your Native

OUR STORYIt All Started With A Road Trip in the ‘70s

In 1978, Floyd and Judy Anderson packed their four daughters into a car in Buffalo, New York and set off for Arizona to follow their dream of owning and running a restaurant. They bought a small local pizza joint, renamed it “Native New Yorker,” and threw their life savings into building a successful business. It wasn’t that easy. After months of terrible sales, long hours, and a roller-coaster of emotions, Judy had an epiphany: Chicken Wings. The Andersons were the first to bring wings to Arizona, and they were an instant hit! Native New Yorker began receiving awards for their wings almost immediately. The Andersons soon became local icons, and Native New Yorker (or “Native”, as the regulars called it), became an Arizona favorite.

Fast Forward to Today

In 2014, Native New Yorker officially shortened its name to Native Grill & Wings, and gave the logo a much-needed facelift. These days, the family, together with a strong leadership team and a growing group of franchisees, is expanding Native Grill & Wings and receiving nationwide recognition. Recently named on Restaurant Business Magazine’s Future 50, Native has become known as a polished sports grill that proudly offers 19 wing flavors that the guest can order by the each!

Back on the RoadNative is back on the road! The newest addition to the Native family, the Special Events Food Truck, can be spotted anywhere from soccer tournaments, to food festivals, to private parties. Native Grill & Wings is now on the go!

After we spent 16 years in the Corporate side of McDonald’s, we decided it was time to pursue our own restaurant. Being long term customers of Native, it was an easy choice to look into this franchise. The upbeat atmosphere, great food quality, community involvement and the well-known Native name was enough to get us started. The supporting home office staff and other franchise owners are always there to help. This franchise offers all of the tools you need to become asuccessful owner of your own business. As with any business, hard work and dedication are a must, but we can tell you the effort you put in will pay off. – Al & Cathy Saleh, Franchisees

WHAT ITTAKES

As with any expanding franchise system, we have many interested parties inquiring about buying a franchise. To measure a candidate’s qualifications, we have established the following requirements:

Required liquid assets: Minimum of $350,000 per restaurant. Required net worth per restaurant of $1.0 million. Total Estimated Initial Investment of $650,000 to $2,250,000. No more than 80% of the start-up costs be leveraged; 20% of any single

store’s start-up costs must be in liquid assets. Operational Excellence.

Each franchise group must have a person with multi-unit restaurant management experience with alcohol. If you do not personally have this background and experience, you will be required to have what we call an “Operating Partner.” Your Operating Partner will be responsible for operations of your franchised restaurant network. It is your responsibility to secure an Operating Partner if you do not have the substantive experience required.

After considering a career in the finance world, I made a decision to enter the QSR industry. I had worked my way through the ranks with McDonalds and wanted a chance to operate my own franchise. After considering numerous other brands, I felt that Native stood out as the clear choice. It gave me the opportunity to enter a concept near ground floor and help grow the brand as well as my own franchise. Native has grown leaps and bounds through the combined leadership of the corporate office and the franchisee's. Native truly operates as a partnership, as new ideas and initiatives are continually implemented to keep the brand fresh and relevant to our consumers. I am extremely pleased with my investment and look forward to opening new units with continued success.” - Marcus Teufel, Franchisee

After working for McDonald’s Corporation for over 30 years, I decided to look for something different. With casual dining being the fastest growing segment of the restaurant industry, and sports bars and grills being the fastest growing sub-segment, I narrowed it down to two concepts: Buffalo Wild Wings and Native. Ultimately, there were two factors that led to my choice with Native. Number 1 was the quality of food; Native’s food is far superior in my opinion. Number 2 was cost; it takes about half as much to open a Native as it does to open a BWW.During my time with Native, I have witnessed many positive changes that have continued to make Native Grill & Wings a great investment opportunity. – Greg Weltsch, Franchisee
