NUMBER PORTABILITY IS COMING TO GRENADA!

hi

µ With Number Portability (NP) on the upcoming agenda for Grenada, the Eastern Caribbean Telecommunications Authority (ECTEL) has been working towards ensuring Number Portability is a reality. As a result, it is imperative that users are aware of the benefits and steps involved in the process.

Number Portability enables the subscriber to keep their current number (including existing prefix) when changing from one provider to another. This factor will be a key component towards promoting competition within the Telecommunications Sector.

The National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC) will be hosting an Upcoming Capacity Building Workshop Entitled “Implementation of Number Portability - Best Practices and Lessons Learned” scheduled for July 1, 2016. This training will be facilitated by Mr. Dexter Boswell-Inniss, Manager, Networks and Standards, Trinidad and Tobago Telecommunications Authority (TATT) and Mr. Andrew Millet, Technical Director, ECTEL to provide their expertise on number portability.
