Nandos “Its okay” Radio Advert For my first radio advert analysis the Nandos “it’s okay” commercial. When listening to this advert I noticed that they were trying to be humorous by having a Mexican accent voice speaking throughout the advert and saying cheesy things like “it’s okay that my sister has a uni brow”. They were also really repetitive saying “it’s okay” over and over I think they did this to try and get the word across the audience that it is okay to have a variety of food at Nandos. The overall purpose and message told in the commercial was that it’s okay to have a variety of food to select at Nandos; the voice also says that “It’s okay to be healthy and have spicy rice with a salad, or spoon yourself with chips then its okay”. The tone of language used during the advert was a Mexican accent used to show that Nandos is a Mexican style food restaurant. The slogan used in the advert was “Its okay” mainly because there trying to get the message across to the audience that it’s okay to eat healthily at Nandos or to just treat yourself to something greasy and fattening. The voice mentioned the word Nandos which is the restaurant they’re promoting 3 times during the advert this is reasonable I’d say for an advert because it’s appealing but not over used. They didn’t mention any phone numbers to ring or addresses to find Nandos because there are many Nandos around and it is very popular and not easy to miss. They use jolly Mexican jingles towards the end of the advert just as they mention that the advert was about Nandos, this relates to the advert because there was a Mexican voice used and the food they serve is spicy Mexican type food.

Nandos “Its okay” Radio Advert

For my first radio advert analysis the Nandos “it’s okay” commercial.

The whole purpose for the advert is to promote the restaurant the advert is about, that’s why they use jolly sounds and music and try to be humorous to catch and appeal to the listeners because they might find it interesting. They made the advert 30 seconds long so it doesn’t drag out and bored the listeners, but it’s quick and snappy and tells you everything you need to know about Nandos. I thought it was good because it was quick and snappy and tells you everything you need to know about Nandos, I also like the fact the music and voices used was related to the topic that the commercial was about and would appeal to people because you don’t usually hear that type off voice on a radio advert. What I didn’t like was that it was to repetitive e.g. he said it’s okay 5 times and started to get annoying, it also was irritating listening to the advert multiple times because of the tone of voice and music which played during the commercial.
