About myself:

My name is Aoife Wright. I am 19 Years old and live in Rathfarnham. I went to The Highschool Rathgar but repeated my

leaving cert last year in Rathmines College. I have a part time job in Hollister Dundrum. I spent all of last summer travelling with my

friends. I went to festivals in Amsterdam, travelled to Berlin, went to a ten day festival in Portugal called Boom festival, and then spent three weeks in Morocco.

Areas of interest within course: I enjoy talking and socialising with

people, so the PR aspect attracts me. I would class myself as a creative person

therefore I like the fact this course is quite creative.

I have interest in social media and look forward to this part in advertising.

My favourite aspect of this course, is that its modern, global and really relevant to todays world.

Experience relevant to this course:

I did 2 weeks paid work experience, in the countries largest P.R communications companies called Wilson Hartnell. I really enjoyed it and it evoked my interest for this course.

My mother is the main organiser of The Woman's Mini Marathon, which is the biggest all women's event in the world. She is extremely involved in all the marketing, sponsorships, P.R and branding of the event so therefore I am constantly surrounded by these aspects and work at the event every year.

My future plans:

My first immediate goal for the future is to graduate from ITT in 4 years time with an Honours degree in my course.

I would definitely love to combine my passion for travel with my future job and work all around the world and experience many different cultures with my career.

I hope to follow in my mothers footsteps, and have an successful career to support a comfortable lifestyle.

Cadburys advertisement:

I really enjoyed this advert for a few reasons:

They use Eamon Dunphy and John Giles, two men which are known for being serious, and show them in a extremely comical and light hearted manner which is surprising and funny for viewers.

They use a very recognisable upbeat song that many people, young and old, could enjoy.

Like all of their other adverts, they use the noticeable dark purple theme throughout, making it clear it’s a Cadburys advert even without the logo.
