My grandfather started Frye’s Fine Fabrics

Operated in the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s.

He was a successful and creative entrepreneur and learned his retailing skills from J.C. Penney himself.

Favorite Family Recipe

Nana’s Peanut Butter Cookies1 c. butter 1 c. peanut butter

1 c. sugar 1 c. brown sugar

1 t. baking powder ½ t. salt

1 t. vanilla 3 c. flour

2 eggs

Cream together butter and sugars. Add peanut butter. Mix dry ingredients together, gradually add to butter mixture. Form balls of dough, place on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with a fork dipped in flour. Bake 8-10 minutes at 350°. Cool on wire rack. Enjoy warm with a glass of milk!
