WHERE IS THE PHILIPPINES?
The Philippines is located in Southeast Asia. There are seven thousand one hundred seven islands that
make up the Philippines. There are eighty four million people that live in the
Philippines. The capital of the Philippines is Manila.

INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT THE PHILIPPINES
In the year of 1521,a famous explorer named Ferdinand Magellan, claimed the Philippines for Spain. Ferdinand named the Philippines after King Philip the Second.

Tinikling is a Filipino dance that involves two people beating and tapping bamboo poles. While one or more people dance over the poles.

dining rooms with giant fork and spoon. This symbolizes good heath and a happy family.

FILIPINO CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE WORLD
The Filipinos created the yoyo. The yoyo was originally created as a hunting tool.
The helped Filipinos created karaoke. Robert Del Rosario invented the karaoke machine. Filipinos love karaoke.

FAMILY PHOTOS These are pictures of my
family at my tita’s and tito’s 50th wedding anniversary. A tita is an aunt and a tito is an uncle. The men are wearing barongs. A barong is a pineapple leaf fiber shirt that men wear on special occasions.

food. On the right we have lechon. Lechon is a whole roasted pig. On the bottom from left to right is Filipino deserts, pancit, and persimmons. Pancit is a noodle dish that sometimes made with egg, shrimp, carrots, beef. Every Filipino party has to have pancit because the long noodles symbols long life.

Enriched Flour, Yam, Wheat Flour, Niacin, Iron, Thiamin, Mononitrate, Folic Acid, Water, Sugar, Egg, Powered Milk, Milk Protein, Concentrate, Nonfat Dry Milk, Lactose, Yeast, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Soybean, Cottonseed, Palm, Coconut, Salt, FD, C Yellow 4 and 5, and Soy.
