Ben Gunner has many years experience as a music teacher, including 12 years as a school Director of Music. Aside from running Musica Europa, Ben also directs an orchestra and 2 choirs.

Launched in 1989, Musica Europa was created to assist musicians and choirs of all standards to enjoy the experience of performing live on tour, anywhere in the world.

16 years on, I am delighted to report that our success has made Musica Europa the first choice for many directors of music, schools and organisations who wish to take their musicians on tour.

Our formula for success is a unique combination of our personal achievements and experiences as musicians, professional organisation and linguistic skills, and our personal approach to working with our clients in order to achieve what they want.

We do not sell pre-designed tour packages, but prefer to work with clients to create

innovative and interesting tours that are tailored to individual needs.

Finance & InsuranceOur experience and detailed planning will ensure that you fully understand what you are paying for and what is included in the price. Our reputation as a leading tour organiser allows us to achieve good rates for quality travel, accommodation, and travel insurance.

As a member of the Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust Limited (ABTOT), an Association approved by the Department of Trade and Industry,

Musica Europa has provided a Bond to meet the requirements of the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tour Regulations 1992 in respect of non-flight inclusive packages only. This Bond provides security for money paid over by customers and for the repatriation of customers in the event of Musica Europa’s insolvency.

FlightsMusica Europa can make flight enquiries on your behalf by contacting fully bonded ATOL operators. Once we have found the appropriate flight, you will receive a booking confirmation and invoice from the fully bonded ATOL operator. Payment should then be made directly to them by you, thus ensuring your flights are financially protected. Please note that we do not take payment for flights ourselves.

CountriesWe will organise a tour to any country in the world, no matter how unusual or unknown. We have organised tours to countries throughout Europe, America, Russia, Australia, China and Canada, and are constantly discovering new contacts and venues throughout the world. We have agents working on our behalf in over 30 countries, who keep us up to date with opportunities to participate in new musical events.

VenuesWherever in the world you choose to go, we will search out venues that are appropriate for you and your repertoire: from Cathedrals to Piazzas and Concert Halls to Band Stands.

Accommodation Where you stay is crucial to the success of your tour and needs to provide a secure base that suits both your budget and specific requirements. We are experienced in organising accommodation in hotels, guesthouses, student accommodation, home stays and even full exchanges. Whenever possible, we will use accommodation that has been tried and tested or that has been recommended by our local agents.

Risk AssessmentThe safety of your party is paramount and every effort will be made to answer your questions regarding safety. Musica Europa can issue you with a Safety Management System Document if required.

TravelWe will arrange every last detail of your travel itinerary and ensure it runs smoothly. Depending on your destination we will use a mix of coach, ferry, train and air to meet your budget and timetable and will arrange visas and local licenses where necessary. We fully understand the stress of touring and will try our best to make it as comfortable and worry-free as possible.

Tour Manager/GuidesWe provide bilingual Tour Managers who will be with you throughout your tour. They will be fully briefed on your itinerary, and will act on your behalf to organise things at a local level and sort out any problems that might occur.

PublicityTo ensure the best possible audience our local agents will distribute flyers and place posters in the vicinity of your performance. Additional advertising will also be arranged through other local media.

Spare TimeTour members will need to rest and have time to explore their surroundings. We will provide suggestions and arrange visits and activities designed to relieve the pressure of rehearsals and performing. Relaxation, recreation and entertainment will greatly enhance the enjoyment of the tour and therefore its

success.
