“Students of the Week”

Learning Ladder

Our transition to 2017 Kindergarten program

(Learning Ladder) will begin next term. We already

have a large number of students enrolled and

ready to start this exciting journey with Mrs Shirley

Wells and Elise Kachel (SLSO) next term.

If you know of any children that will be starting

school next year who haven’t yet contacted our

school, please encourage them to do so. We want

all our students to have access to this fabulous

program.

Have a great week!

Sam Rowsell

P&C Blackboard

Our school is a Polling Venue for the elections on

Saturday 2nd July. Our P&C will be holding a

sausage sizzle fundraiser on the day. We will also

have cakes/slices for sale on the day. We would

appreciate donations for our stall, please drop

them into our school on Friday 1st July.

5c Fundraiser - throughout Term 3 our P&C will be

holding a 5c fundraiser. Each classroom will have

a jar which can be filled with 5c coins. Every week

a classroom tally will be displayed. At the end of

the term the class who has raised the most money

will win a prize. So start looking for 5c coins, under

the couch, in the car and bring them in for Term 3.

Thank you

Netball Gala Day

What a wonderful day we had last Wednesday at

the netball knockout gala day. Our girls played

extremely well with each of them holding their

own against older and “taller” players. We made

it into the finals against Kingscliff and after being

one goal up at three quarters time we eventually

lost going down 10-8.

Our girls played 40 minutes of a fast high quality

game and should be very proud of themselves. A

special big thank you must go to Sue O’Connor

who gave up her mornings to help train the team.

Also thank you to Wendy McClymont and Fiona

Simpson for cheering the girls on. Can’t wait until

next year!
