Provide an overview of Mt. Bethel Elementary School’s CRCT data to faculty and administration.
Compare CRCT performance of 3rd and 5th grade students to district and state data in Reading, ELA, and Math for the years 2012-2014.
Recognize areas of strength and weakness.
Identify student achievement gaps
Discuss areas for improvement

Strengths & Weaknesses• MBES has a higher percent of students scoring in the Exceeds category compared
to the district and state in Reading, ELA, and Math for 3rd & 5th grades.
• 3rd grade students Exceeding in ELA has declined slightly from 71% in 2012 to 65% in 2014.
• 5th grade students Exceeding in ELA has declined from 85% in 2013 to 76% in 2014. Students in the Meets category increased from 15% to 24% over the same period.
• A higher percent of DNM and Meets students appears in 3rd grade Math
• 5th grade students Exceeding in Math declined from 80% in 2013 to 73% in 2014. Students in the Meets category increased from 20% to 26% over the same period.
• Approximately 20% of students in 3rd and 5th grades receive Special Education services.
• 19% of Special Education students did not meet standards in Math.

Discussion
• Maintain student achievement levels and convert Meets students to Exceeds.
• Math skills will be supported by creating common assessments and monitoring student progress at grade level Data Team meetings.
• Use data to identify students needing remediation or extension in math.
• Align Special Education student IEP goals closely with data to understand problem areas and address student learning issues.
