word processor designed by Microsoft. It was first

released in 1983 under the name Multi-Tool Word for

eni!.

" word processor can be used to manipulate te!t data to

produce a letter# a report# a memo# an e-mail message# or

any other type of correspondence. Te!t data is any letter#

number# or symbol that you can type on a $eyboard. The

grouping of the te!t data to form words# sentences#

paragraphs# and pages of te!t results in the creation of a

document. Thus# we can say that a word processor is a

program used to type documents. %uch &ocuments can
