1.Your general purpose is to:
a. Informb. Persuadec. Entertain d. Inspire
Purpose
2. Your specific purpose- your message. Be able to write your message in one sentence.
Example: I will explain the basic elements of a good speech.
3. Your desired audience outcome. Determine what you want your audience to think, feel, or do.
Content
Content includes:1. Organization-
Introduction/Body/Conclusion2. Support material- Stories, facts,
examples, and memorable images
3. Language use- Good speeches start with good writing!
