Eustress helps me to succeed because I like challenges. I have many challenges in my life and when I do well in them I feel accomplished. For example, many students find school boring but I actually like school because I think learning is exciting. However, exams can make me anxious because my brain is not a giant computer that fits endless information like in the Matrix. On the other hand, when I study for an exam and I get an A+ I feel like I am the king of the world. Another example of eustress helping me to succeed is when I planned a surprise birthday for my best friend. It was difficult to keep the secret from my friend but also to make sure everyone knew where to meet for the party. First, I had to decide when and where the party would be. Second, I had to email everyone to invite them and tell them the party was a secret. Finally, I had to trick my best friend on going to where to the party was being held. To illustrate how this challenge was worth it, when everyone yelled surprise my friend jumped and screamed like a little girl. It was very funny. My last example of eustress being helping is when I play games. I like to play racing games and fighting games. In addition, I like to play strategy games because they are not boring. I never know if I am going to win or lose. If a game is difficult, it feels so much better to win than if a game is very easy. Anyone can cheat in a game but only a real champion wins a game with his own skills and techniques. In conclusion, because feeling accomplished and overcoming challenges makes me happy, eustress motivates me to do well.
