Een omgeving waar mensen zich prettig voelen. Dit doen we in de overtuiging dat de omgeving bijdraagt aan het welbevinden en herstel van mensen. Kunst maakt een belangrijk onderdeel uit van de omgeving van het zieken- huis. Het biedt ontspanning en afleiding en kan stress verminderen. Door bijvoorbeeld nieuwe perspectieven te laten zien. Of inspiratie, herkenning of troost te bieden. Binnen deze context organiseert de Kunstcommissie van het Martini Ziekenhuis ieder jaar een reeks exposities van bekende of minder bekende (noordelijke) kunstenaars. Daarnaast exposeren wij werken uit onze eigen kunstcollectie. Met relatief beperkt budget bou- wen wij aan een hoogwaardige verzameling schilderijen en beelden. Onze aandacht gaat met name uit naar noordelijke kunstenaars. Hieronder vindt u de kunstroute langs de vaste werken en de lopende exposities in het ziekenhuis.
