GraavaGraava is the intersection of two desires: to create the most exciting and memorable videos and to be as efficient and quick as possible when doing so.

This recording device will use numerous sets of data points to automatically determine what’s worth watching, then edit the hours of footage it has captured accordingly – using your input of how long you’d like the video to be.

Could this be a new trend of self-editing videos? Will we see more services that allow instant recording of our favorite memories for us to enjoy later? I wonder what an edited collection of daily sounds would be like.

Dark EchoYou’re alone, or so you think, surrounded by complete darkness and the faint sound of your footsteps echoing through the hallway. Suddenly an unexpected scamper startles you and you pick up your pace to get out ASAP! Using only the reverberations of your claps and footsteps, you must find the way out and stay away from any other unwelcome visitors.

Selected as Apple’s “App of the Week” earlier this year, there’s a lot to love about the premise of this game and its intimate and thrilling use of sound. Developed by RAC7 Games, available for most iOS devices.

“Explore a mysterious world through sound.”

HamiltonThe New York Times recently ran a profile on Lin-Manuel Miranda, who is receiving critical acclaim for his newest Broadway creation, “Hamilton”. Most of the buzz is coming from the genius way he combines hip-hop and pop music with musical theater to tell a story inspired by Ron Chernow’s historical biography, “Alexander Hamilton”

Will we be seeing more genre collisions given the show’s runaway success? Though it’s not the first show to experiment with new song styles, his genuine understanding and love of lyrics and music shines through to make this a standout.

Juice VCRJuice VCR bills itself as an “online music television channel showcasing the latest visuals from DIY + independent artists”.

It’s a simple, continuous audio/video music stream from emerging and independent DIY artists – allowing users to only pause or skip forward, no search.

Created by Jessica Straker and antipattern – it hopes to become a tool of discovery, reminiscent of the “good ol’ days” of MTV when you were able to stumble upon something new, weird and interesting if you happened to be there to catch it.
