Please sign in at the office and proceed to room #7 (Mrs. Elkis’ room). New volunteers are required to be trained. Returning volunteers are also encouraged to attend. Feel free to come early and visit the music room across the hall, beginning at 8:40, to have your photo taken for a volunteer badge. 11820 Liberty Road, Frederick, MD 21701 240-236-1800 NoSe Sept. 9, 2016 Morning Drop-off Notes Just a couple of notes to help make morning drop off run smoothly. Everyone is doing a nice job keeping left in the car rider lane to allow buses and staff to go through. We know that in spite of these efforts, traffic may still back up for a brief period of time around 8:30, as the main driveway is short and narrow. To help with this situation, we ask that parents dropping off please have your child ready to exit the vehicle quickly once reaching the cone where students are dropped off. If you have large items to unload that require you to get out of the vehicle, we ask that you please park in a space and escort your child to the front walk. This will help keep the line moving steadily so the bus lane stays clear. We really do appreciate everyone’s patience with one another as you drop off each day. Grandparents’ Luncheon We look forward to having grandparents join us for lunch on September 27 (student last name A-L) and September 28 (student last name M- Z) at their grandchild(ren)’s respective lunch times. Please see table below for lunch times. If families would like to do so, they may leave the cafeteria after finishing lunch, and visit the book fair located just a short walk from the cafeteria in the portable. We ask that all students going to the book fair please return to class at least within 45 minutes following the start of their respective lunch times. This will allow students to access a full day of instruction on these days.

Weekend Tote Bag Program Did you know we have a weekend "tote bag" program? A community group provides easy to prepare and ready-to-eat foods to support Liberty families. Food is sent home with the student in a canvas tote bag at the end of each week. If this is a program that would benefit your family, please contact Mrs. Elkis, our guidance counselor, for more details. She can be reached at 240-236-1798 or [email protected]. You may also send in a note to Mrs. Elkis. If your child has a food allergy, please let us know about this when you contact us. Thank you.

Box Tops For Education Fall Competition Deadline: Thursday 10/20/16

Which classroom can collect the most Box Tops and receive a prize in November?

Please bring Box Tops to your classroom for the competition by Thursday 10/20/16, in a plastic baggie or envelope, labeled with your child's teacher's name. Liberty PTA collects Box Tops for Education to earn money for activities like cultural arts assemblies and to help fund field trips. Be sure to clip them on the dotted line so the expiration date is visible.

Box Tops can be found on Annie's, Ziploc, Mott’s, Betty Crocker, Cheerios, Chex, Pillsbury, Yoplait, and more. For a full list of products visit the following website: http://www.boxtops4education.com/participating-products.
