The girls in the Descent doesn’t have the typical girly stereotypes with the pink, hate being out in the wild and hate blood. The age range would be around 15-24 years old as they will have disposable income which would be why it is aimed towards younger people. They would fit into the E section as they most likely wont have a job but their it depends on the parents as they can be in any professions and can be in C1, C2, but t also depends on the disposable income that they get. According to the Rubicams the main audience is will mainly be mainstream as horror lovers are stereotyped as females would watch The Descent with other people to give around the word of mouth to other people around the age of 15-24. They could also be reformers as they would like to change how the world thin of women, These women would be 25-34 as they are educated and know what they need to do to get to the point.

The males would be movie lovers and watch the movie several times as the movie is a good example of a ‘any thing can happen’ movie. The age range of the males that the movie is appealing to will be 15-24 as that is the age when puberty starts to happen. The parents that the males have can be in any social group but the disposable income will depend on weather they can watch the movie. According to Rubicams these people will be the mainstreamers as they are the largest audience to entertain who love horror movies which are mainly between the ages of 15-24 years old.

Additional AudienceThe additional group that the Descent is aimed at is people who are into extreme sports as they will be around the age of 24-35 and this would mean that thy have loads of disposable income which is good for the creators as they are the ones that can buy it on DVD or go to the cinemas to watch it. The social economic group that they are in is C1/C2 as they would have a job and many disposable income as they will have a job which has reasonable pay. They would also be interested in movies as they need to have leisure after doing the activities. They can relate to the thrill that the actors get in the movie which can help promote the movie to friends with similar interests.
