Let's make a bookmark based on the Monkey King!

a piece of cardboard and

our monkey face template

liquid glue

a marker

two different kinds of

hole punch or pencil

googly eyes (optional)

You'll need:

our bookmark template

ribbon or string

Cut out and trace our bookmarktemplate onto a piece of thincardboard. Then, cut out thecardboard bookmark. Cut out the monkey facetemplate and draw on eyes,nose, and a mouth. You can usegoogly eyes , too, if you want!

Cut your "headband" ribbon tothe length you want it be, thenmake lines with your liquid gluein the shape of your headband.Lay the ribbon right onto theglue!For the "scarf" ribbon, you cantie it if you like. You can applyglue to this ribbon and thenstick it onto the bookmark. Punch a hole in the top of thebookmark using a hole punch ora pencil, then loop a stringthrough it. Tie the ends of thestring and separate threads tomake a tassel! Glue the face to the bookmark.
