Leadership Marco Scholarship - APPLY TODAY Available to high school senior residing in Marco Island, Isles of Capri, Goodland, Hammock Bay or Fiddler's Creek. The Leadership Marco scholarship was established to support Marco Island students in their educational pursuits. Scholarship Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must reside on Marco Island, Isles of Cari, Goodland, Hammock Bay or Fiddler's Creek. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA. Applicants may attend any of the high schools in Collier County. Complete the CCPS Paper Application and mail it to the Marco Island Chamber. Students must submit two (2) Letters of Recommendation. A student must send their transcripts with the application. Students must complete an Essay that discusses their attributes of leadership. The specific question

is: Who is a leader you admire and why? Do not submit tax documents.

We look forward to deserving students applying for this scholarship which is a result of two major fundraising efforts organized by the Marco Island Area Chamber of Commerce:

CORNELL UNIVERSITY SUMMER COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP At least one student will receive an all-inclusive scholarship to participate in a three-week Summer Program at Cornell University the summer between junior and senior years of high school. To be considered for the scholarship, students must submit a Preliminary Application to the Guidance Office no later than Thursday, March 5. The Preliminary Application consists of several parts, all of which are included in this packet:

FSW Open House FSW is hosting an Open House event for students interested in Dual Enrollment. The event is scheduled on

Wednesday, February 26th, from 3 to 5 PM. This is an excellent time for interested students of all grades (but

especially seniors), families, and friends to visit FSW’s Collier Campus. Anyone attending will have an

opportunity to learn about all the things FSW has to offer our students, tour the campus, learn about our

different programs (i.e. Florida’s 2+2 program, FSW’s International Education, Honors Program, Dual

Enrollment, and Degree programs, Scholarships, etc.) and talk to faculty, administration, and departmental

staff.

Support Group

Avow Kids will be hosting a divorce support group for children and parents/guardians throughout the month

of March. The children will meet with a member of our children’s bereavement team while the adults meet

with someone from our adult bereavement department. We would greatly appreciate if you would be willing

to share this information with any of your students or families who may be interested. The group is open for

kids between the ages of 7-14 along with their parents/guardians.

Spend the summer at Boston University Experience college life and academics at an internationally top-ranked university. Attend class alongside Boston University undergraduates and earn up to 8 college credits in just six weeks. Students can choose from more than 80 undergraduate courses. Applicants must be entering junior or senior year of high school in fall 2020. Admission is selective and competitive, but financial aid is available based on merit and need. Additional information is available from the Guidance Office. Uncommon Friends Scholarship The Uncommon Friends Foundation is now accepting applications for its 2020 student scholarship awards, which will be awarded to deserving students, veterans, struggling adults, disabled students, and single parents who are pursuing degrees in education, law, technology, health sciences and other studies. Qualifications require that nominees reside in Lee, Charlotte, Collier, Glades, or Hendry Counties, need financial assistance, excel in school and/or their personal lives, and possess high quality character traits. Scholarships vary in application requirements, duration, and financial amounts, while some are to specific schools such as Florida Gulf Coast University, technology institutes, and PACE Center for Girls of Lee County.
