‘Rhône Style’ - Live Skype Wine Tasting Join us for what will be a very interesting evening where we will taste the Northern and Southern Rhône wines of Delas Freres side by side with the Rhône style wines of d’Arenberg in McLaren Vale, Australia. Herve Robert from Delas will host the Dublin tasting and Chester Osburn d’Arenberg will be beamed live from McLaren Vale in Australia. Sure to be an enjoyable tasting.

The Basque Culinary Center ‘Irish meets Basque’ Pintxos Demonstration

One of the top chefs from the Basque Culinary Center in San Sebastian will be demonstrating how some typical Basque pintxos are made. He will also transform some traditional Irish dishes into pintxos. The dishes will then be matched with a selection of the award winning Conde de Valdemar Rioja wines.

Louis-Fabrice Latour, the seventh Louis Latour and eleventh generation will tell the story of innovation at Maison Louis Latour over the last century by showcasing twelve individual wines.

Louis Latour’s exceptional domaine covers 50 hectares and includes the largest collection of Grand Cru vineyards in Burgundy. A négociant-éleveur with soul, the house is still independent and managed by the founding family, headed up by Louis-Fabrice Latour.

Lulie Halstead, CEO of Wine Intelligence UK will host this workshop, based on the 2016 Global Consumer Trends report published by Wine Intelligence. The workshop will examine the latest and most important cultural and social drivers from around the globe, and explore how these may influence the wine category in the future.

This interactive workshop will examine consumer trends in the context of wine and wine service. You will also receive a hand-out after the workshop.

Jan Konetzki ‘Shaking up your Wine List’

Jan recently won the ‘2015 Imbibe Wine list of The Year Award’ - Sommelier award for his exciting new list at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, London.

Jan will take guests through his thought process on creating the new customer friendly list at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay. He has also chosen a selection of Febvre wines for tasting after the talk.

Jan will also be available after his talk for a one on one consultation on your own wine list. Each session will be approx. 20 minutes long.

Warre’s Quinta da Cavadinha Vertical Tasting

Isabel Monteiro from Warre’s Port will host a very special vertical tasting of Warre’s Quinta da Cavadinha to include the following vintages: 1992, 1998, 2001, 2005, 2010, 2012. The 2001 vintage recently won the Gold Medal in the International Wine Challenge 2015.

Warre’s Quinta da Cavadinha is one of the finest vineyard estates in the Douro and produces outstanding wines that are used to make Warre’s Classic Vintage Port.

‘A Very Different Chile’ presented by Chief Winemaker Marcelo Retamal

Demonstrating Chile’s diversity Chief Winemaker of De Martino, Marcelo Retamal was named as the 13th most influential winemaker in the world and the best of Latin America by Decanter Magazine 2015.

Marcelo will showcase a very different Chile in pursuit of site – specific vineyards best suited to particular grape varieties. Marcelo will demonstrate Chile’s diversity through his work with Single Vineyards and wines from ITATA including the use of Viejas Tinajas (old earthenware jars).
