Moldova Governance eTransformation project supported by HELP

Zoellick, attends ICT Business Roundtable and a meeting with Bank ICT management team
• PM sends a letter to Mr. Zoellick asking for (1) eTransformation project, (2) high-level international Advisory Group in Feb 2010
• Governance eTransformation IDA credit ($20 mln) concept approved in March 2010
• High-level expert group formed under eTransform with initial focus on Moldova in March, 4 sessions already organized
• High-level eTransformation Roundtable with Mr. Zoellick, entire Moldova Cabinet and leading global experts held on August 12

• A series of 20 local workshops organized in Moldova since June 2009
• E-Governance Center (Gov CIO) created in Aug 2010• Moldovan Ministerial delegation taken to Singapore in Aug
2010• Project Preparation Advance (2 million) approved in Sept, team
is being hired, studies and e-service pilots being launched• Moldovan clients visit Washington DC in November and meet
with Vivek Kundra and other Government CIOs (Canada, UK, Singapore, Finland etc)
• Team is preparing for Board approval in April

• The e-Transform High-Level Experts Group provides senior leaders in government transformation with insightful advice and knowledge that comes from world-class leaders in the field of ICT and government e-transformation
• This unique group aims at implementing new breakthrough initiatives and efficient processes and services within nominated countries, through targeted advisory work, shared knowledge base and tools/resources that demonstrate the value of proven approaches to government transformation
