Mojo’s parent company Bauer owns MOJO, Kerrang, kiss radio, mojo radio and Q magazine.

Making it available to a wide range of audiences as all of these magazines focus on different ranges of music.

This has a huge impact on the audiences as they can broaden their reading to listening, and explore different genres of music.

On the websites on these other magazines the parent company (Bauer) is not included in the title. This is to gain more money. If the audiences know that all of their money is going to one company they are less likely to spend their money buying one company's products, instead they will broaden the range of magazines in which they buy.

The company behind the magazine, Bauer, also produced a digital radio station. This station was called Mojo Radio, and was transmitted on the digital television networks in the UK.

Bauer now owns Kiss radio and Mojo radio. Mojo radio offers classical rock to its audience, whilst Kiss radio focuses more on pop R&B music.

Comparison – Wire Magazine

Wire magazine is an independent magazine. "Adventures in Sound and Music“ Is their strapline, however it was

previously known as "Adventures in Modern Music“ – to show that they have steered away from focusing on one genre of music.

It was founded in 1982 by Anthony Wood and Chrissie Murray It originally focused on bringing contemporary jazz to its audience,

however in the 1990’s it ventured out to bring more ‘experimental’ music to its audience – this included hip hop, modern classical, post-rock and electronic music.

Wire – A small company

Wire magazine is a small company, in comparison to Mojo magazine owned by Bauer owning various types of different magazines and radio stations broadening their audiences further.

However despite wire magazine appealing to a niche audience they get a numerous amount of album viewers every month because of their features.

The invisible jukebox whereby a number of unknown tracks are played to an artist.

As wire magazine progressed The Wire has been presenting on a weekly radio program on the London community radio station Resonance FM, which uses the magazine's strapline as its title and is hosted in turns by members of The Wire′s staff.

Even though their an independent company they have a huge audience much like Bauer, although Bauer just owns more companies to gain more audiences of a different range.
