Benefits ofPresentation Delivery Technology

Main points – clarity, credibility, and retention Tools for colors, fonts, formats, and styles Import from word processing programs or

spreadsheet applications Create your own graphics and customize data Range/flexibility to visually reinforce messages

Priority on Audience Needs

Design visuals to meet audience needs. Do not design a PPT presentation as

a detailed script for presenter. Design to help audience understand

a point/idea with brief phrases or meaningful graphics.

When you are planning to use a multimedia presentation, learning to effectively work with the delivery presentation technology is a key to your success. While your audience may not consciously notice the difference, design decisions you make will have an effect on how your presentation is perceived and how well they remember the information you communicated.

KISS – Keep it simply stated. Use no more than about 6 lines of type/6 words per line.

Avoid wording overload. Cover only one topic or show only one idea per slide.

Replace complete sentences with bullet points. Use only key words, not full sentences.

These are everyone's problems, and it will take everyone's commitment and action to solve them.
