2. Questions

Inside the History of Industry, when do you

think the action of the film happens?

I think the film happens in the beginnings of

industrialization, because the factories were something

new and to produce goods is necesary a lot of people,

like we can see in the movie

The factories, in that moment, offered an oportunity of

jof.

How is the factory organised? What

elements of industrial process can you see?

It’s divided in three main groups: 1.The boss (that

controlled everybody and everything and dictates the

orders) 2.The manager (that comunicates the orders of

the boss to the workers) 3.The workers(that do all the

work)

Elements: intermediate goods, work force, managment

What differences can you notice between

working during these times and working today?

I think working in these times were very hard, and also

were very complicated to find a job, not because of the

studies, it’s because there were a lot of people and a

limit number of jobs.

Today you have to study to find a job (if we aren’t in

crisis) and also not many people work in factories

because it’s all automated, so the factories use more

machines than people.

Give your opinion about the film. Did you

like it?

Yes, I like the film because nowadays we don’t see black

and white and silent films, so it’s different.

In general, it was good, with some funny parts but it

wasn’t my time of film.
