STEP 1: (SEE FIGURE 1)Refertopage6forexamplesofhowtoattachtheFrameBracketstosomeothertractormodels.

• Holdtheframebracketsothatthetwoholesareatthebottomandplaceitagainstthesideofthetractorframeinfrontofthefrontaxle.Aligntwoupperholesinthebracketwithtwoholesinthetractorframe.Turnthebracketoverifnecessary.Attachthebracketusingtheappropriatehardware.

Channels.Installfour3/8"x1"carriageboltsand3/8"nylocknutsusing themostwidely spacedholes thatalignwithslots.Finger tighten only.

• IftheRearSupportChannelsbumpagainstthebottomofthetractor,reattachtherearofthechannelstoalowersetofholesintheRearMountingBracket.IfthereismoreclearancethannecessarybetweentheRearSupportChannels and the bottom of the tractor, reattach therearofthechannelstoahighersetofholesintheRearMountingBracket.

• Tightenallboltsandnutsinstalleduptothispoint.• Measure the height of the front plate on theThrust

Channel.Ifitisnot4"to5"abovetheground,reinstalltheclevispins in theHangerBrackets toahigherorlowerholepositiontoattainthecorrectheight.

• Inserttheanglelockbarsdownthroughtheslotinthechannel.Underneaththechannel,placea1"longspaceroneachsideof theangle lockbarsandinserta1/4"x3-1/4"boltthroughthechannel,theanglelockbarsandthespacers.Securetheboltwitha1/4"nylocknut.Tightensothatlockbarscanpivotfreely.

• Atthistimetightenthe3/8"carriageboltandnylonlocknutpreviouslyassembledtoanglelockbars.

NOTE: Whentheanglelockbarsarepulledback,thepivotplateshouldunlockandbefreetopivot.

STEP 11: (SEE FIGURE 11)•Useahammertotapa3/8"palnutontooneendofthe

springmountrod.Inserttherodthroughtherearsetofholesinthepivotplate.Supporttheassembledendofthespringmountrodonablockofwood,andtaptheremaining3/8"palnutontotheotherendoftherod.

STEP 12: (SEE FIGURE 12)• Assemblea3/8"x1-1/4"carriageboltthroughthesquare

holeinthecablemountbracketandthroughthesquareholeintheanglelockbarsasshown.(Thecarriageboltsshouldfaceinoppositedirections.)Usingpliersholdthecablemountbracketinposition,anglingdowntowardstheL.H.holeinthechannelasshown.Securewitha3/8"nylocknut. Tighten.Referalsotofigure14forthecorrectangleforthecablemountbracket.

STEP 13: (SEE FIGURE 13)• Selecttheendofthecontrolcablethathasnorubber

cap.Assemble one 5/16" jam nut approximately 3/4"ontothethreadedendof thecontrolcable.Assemblethethreadedcableendthroughtheroundholeinthecablemountbracketasshownandsecurewithanother5/16"jamnut.Tighten.

NOTE:Someadjustmentofjamnutsmayberequiredafterbladeassemblyiscompleted.

cableendfittingandpull until ball slips insidecurlededgeoffittingasshown.Ifballwon'tslipunderedgeofcurlitwillneedtobeinsertedthroughopenendofcurl.

• Assemblea1/4"x1-1/4"hexboltdownthroughthecableendfitting,the5/8"longspacerandthelefthandholeinthechannelassembly.Securewitha1/4"nylocknut. Tighten.

NOTE: Makesurethecablemountbracketisalignedwiththecableendfittingasshowntopreventbindingofcable.Attachtheotherendofthecontrolcableinalaterstep.

STEP 15: (SEE FIGURE 15)• Toattachthebladetothechannelassembly,alignthe

notchedholesinthepivotplatewiththenotchedholesintheblade.Inserta1/8"x1-1/4"cotterpindownthroughtheholeatthebendinthebladepivotshaft.Spreadtheendsofthepin.Fromtheleftsideinsertthebladepivotshaft,bendfacingup,throughthenotchedholes.Securetheshaftwithanother1/8"x1-1/4"cotterpinthroughtheendholeintheshaft.Spreadtheendsofthepin.

• Removetheplasticcapandone3/8"hexnutfromtheboltinthebladeadjustspring.Adjusttheremaining3/8"hexnutdownapproximately1"ontotheboltthreads.Hookthespringoverthespringmountrodasshown.Placetheboltupthroughtheholeinthetopedgeofthebladeandreassembletheother3/8"hexnutandtightendownagainstthetopedgeoftheblade.Replacetheplasticcapovertheendoftheboltthreads.

STEP 16: (SEE FIGURE 16)• Assemblethe1/2"washerontothechannelpivotpin.• Attachthechannelassemblytothetractorbyplacingthe

endofthechannelassemblyupinsidethepivotsupportbracketonthetractor.Aligntheholeinthepivotsupportbracketwiththesecond holeinthechannelassembly.Insertthechannelpivotpinthroughthealignedholesfromtheleftsideandsecurewithasmallhairpincotterpushedallthewaythroughtotheloopend.

NOTE: Allhairpincottersonthissnowbladeshouldbe pushedthroughtotheirloopend.

rodthroughtheexposedholesintheendofthechannelassembly.Next,inserttheliftlinkpinthroughtheholeinthebracketthatisweldedtothelifthandlerod.(Theliftlinkispre-assembledtothepivotsupportbracket).Securethebracketwithasmallhairpincotter.

• Applyalightcoatingofoiltothestraightupperportionofthelifthandlerod.Slidethelifthandletubeontotherod.

STEP 18: (SEE FIGURE 18)• Removetherubbercapandthefirstjamnutfromthe

threadedendofthecontrolcableandslidethemontothecontrolcablewire.Adjustthesecondjamnutonthethreadssothatitisapproximately3/4"fromend.Assemblethreadedendofcablethroughthecablemountbracketonthelifthandletubeandsecureitwiththefirstjamnut.Reinstalltherubbercapontothethreadedcableend.

NOTE: Someadjustmentofjamnutsmayberequired afterbladeassemblyiscompleted.

STEP 19: (SEE FIGURE 19)• Assembletheplasticgripontothegripassembly.• Attachthegripassembly to the lifthandle tubeusing

one5/16"x1-1/2"hexboltandone5/16"nylocknut.Do not overtighten thenylocknut.Thegripassemblymustpivotfreely.

• Assembletheballendofthecabletoacableendfittingaswasdonetotheotherendofthecable.Securethecableendfittingtotheweldboltonthelockreleasegripwitha1/4"nylocknut.Do not overtighten thenylocknut.Thecablefittingmustpivotfreely.

STEP 20: (SEE FIGURE 20)• Placethelongendofthebladepivotroddownthrough

thebladepivotshaft.Attachtheshortendofthebladepivotrodtothelifthandletube.Securebothendswithsmallhairpincotters.

• Usethetwoplastictiestoholdthecablesecurelytotheoutsideofthehandletubeandawayfromthetractortoavoiddirectheatfromthetractormuffler.

HOW TO USE YOUR SNOW BLADE To Pivot the Blade• Raisethebladetotransportposition.Tounlocktheblade,

pushthegripassemblydownagainstthehandletube.Topivottheblade,keepthegripdepressedandpushforwardorpullbackonthehandletube,slidingitalongtheliftrod.Releasethegripto lockthebladewhenitisineithertherighthand,thelefthandorthestraightaheadposition.Seefigure22.

Para obtener tracción cuando usa la cuchilla, deberá poner pesos en las ruedas o cadenas en los neumáticos. Estos accesorios se encuentran en la tienda de Sears más cercana.

Uso de la Cuchilla Quitanieve• Prepare el motor del tractor de prado para tiempo frío de

acuerdocon las instruccionesquerecibióconel tractordeprado.

• Principiesiempreconelmotorenprimeravelocidad (baja)ygradualmenteaumente lavelocidadenelgradoqueseanecesario.

• No mueva la nieve repetidamente en la misma direccióncausando acumulación excesiva en un extremo con cadapasadasucesiva.

• Para reducir la formacióndehielo en la cuchilla, deje quetractorycuchillaseajustena la temperaturaexteriorantesdecomenzaraoperar.

• Paraunmejorrendimientoenlaremocióndenieve,apliqueenlacuchillaunacapadeceraparaautomotores.

Para Girar la Cuchilla• Levante la cuchilla a posición de transporte. Para abrir el

cierre de la cuchilla, presione contra el tubo demanejo lapalancadeaberturadecierre.Paragirarlacuchilla,mantengalapalancadeprimidaypresionehaciael frenteotirehaciaatráseltubodemanejo,delizándoloalolargodelabarradelevante.Sueltelapalancaparafijarlacuchillaenposicióndecentro,manoderechaomanoizquierda.VealaFigura22.

Ajuste del Resorte de la Cuchilla• La tensión del resorte de ajuste de la cuchilla puede

cambiarse para permitir que la cuchilla se incline haciadelanteparapasarsobreunaobstrucción.Paracambiar latensióndelresorte,ajustelastuercasenelextremosuperiordelpernoderesorte.Girelastuercasenladirecciónopuestaa las manecillas del reloj para reducir la tensión y en ladireccióndelasmanecillasdelrelojparaaumentarlatensión.RefiérasealaFigura15delapágina9.

Ajuste de las Zapatas de Patín de la Cuchilla• Laszapatasdepatínseencuentranen losextremosde la
