Once upon a midnight dreary, while I quilted weak and weary, over many a quaint and curious quilt block of forgotten lore. A whispering of inspiration led to haunted decoration, a spooky,

ghostly infestation that tempted me for evermore. While I pondered, quilt tops jotting, more ideas I began spotting, treat bags, pillows, buntings, plotting projects thought of years before. “Tis something from the dead,” I muttered, “their plans have filled my head, even asleep in my bed, I dream of quilting for evermore.”

What do you suppose is on the squirrel’s Thanksgiving menu? Probably not turkey. I think they probably feast on a cornucopia of acorns, squash, corn and pumpkins. Tom turkey is hiding behind the tree just in case. Mr. Fox is kind of shy, he will sneakily eat leftovers later. This line features a smorgasbord of spicy fall shades of oranges, gold and browns with a bit of purple and teal for some added pop.

We were so excited to design this new Christmas line. We have been thinking about it for years! Our inspiration came from all of the store

windows we see around the holidays. That print was designed first. And because the “Holly’s Tree Farm” image was our favorite, we decided that would be a great name. We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it!

During a trip to the Museum of American

Folk Art a few years ago I spied a beautifully tole painted tin pitcher. I pho-tographed it and filed it away in my memory as a look that might be fun to emulate in fabric. Then last Christmas my mother gave me two lovely little black tole painted trays and I knew it was time to see how this style of deco-rative painting might look as a Christmas design.
