Security Mobile UI for iOS and Android

• SSL encryption (Secure Sockets Layer - cryptographic protocol which is designed to provide communication security over the network). It is implemented directly in the manager base class and active by default when creating a new project in WinCC OA

• High transmission reliability due to the use of Apache web server: • Only a few ports in the firewall (HTTPS and Proxy) are opened to the

unsafe internet • The real IPs and host names of the internal network are not visible

Recommendations: • It is recommended, to avoid popup windows, as window management is not

supported on mobile devices • The server part of the mobile client is part of the WinCC OA basic installation • The total number of simultaneously active mobile clients is counted Server requirements: • Correcty installed WinCC OA version • Valid WinCC OA mobile Client license • Valid WinCC OA Webserver license

Client requirements: • Use only supported operating systems • Download and installation of the app • Acceptance of used certificates



Restrictions Mobile UI for iOS and Android

• Custom EWOs and CTRL enhancements are not availbale • Video- and WebView EWO are not available • Engineering via mobile devices is not possible • Automatic scaling in dependence on DPI is only available for panels,

which are saved with version 3.14 or higher
