You keep your work here.
You still follow a process.
Minor revisions are record in an incremental index. P1.1, P1.2 etc..
A minor revision is one that someone else in your organisation can use ahead of being issued to the CDE as shared.
Information which has reached a status where it can be used by others outside your organisation for a purpose.
It is thoroughly checked and approved for a specific purpose i.e. coordination.
Released to the design team in a ‘safe environment’
Restricted use by the contractor and not seen by the client unless released to client shared.
Approved information at a point in time
Information is fit for purpose
Receives an A, B or C code
D – codes can be used when information is needed by the client or contractor for a purpose but not yet authorised.
All information that is superseded whether it was accepted or not.
Using a construction specific CDE removes the headache from this as they auto-archive
3.13 common data environment (CDE) single source of information for any given project, used to collect, manage and disseminate all relevant approved project documents for multi-disciplinary teams in a managed process
NOTE A CDE may use a project server, an extranet, a file-based retrieval system or other suitable toolset.
