21. Extra Credit:
There will be additional HW and test questions available with each
assessment for extra credit.
HW extra credit will be turned in separately from the the homework,
and will be graded for accuracy.
No additional extra credit will be offered to any students. There
are NO exceptions.
22. All of my grades are recorded both in my grade book, and on the
computer grade book program: PowerSchool. Students may know their
averages upon request.Parents and students may also access their
grades at any time using the PowerSchool Portal.
A folder will be maintained in the classroom for each student.
Disciplinary actions (e.g. referrals), and parent contact
information will be kept in those folders.
Other means of recording and reporting student grades and progress
include interim progress reports, quarterly report cards, teachers
discipline log, periodic student and teacher conferences, teacher
and parent conferences, notes home, and telephone calls to parents
(positive and negative).

23. Make-Up Policies
It is the students responsibility to gather all make-up work and
complete it in a timely manner (within 5 days of his/her return to
school).
Students are allowed to make up work from excused absences
only.
Generally tests and quizzes that need to be made up will not be
done during class time. Please arrange to make up tests or quizzes
after 2:00 pm or during 2nd period if at all possible.
24. Extra Assistance
Available by appointment, daily2ndperiod or after school.
It is the students responsibility to let me know if he/she needs to
come for extra help.
It is very important that a student does not fall behind, because
it is often very difficult to catch up. Please ask for help before
you get behind.
25. Attendance and Tardy Policies:
Each student is expected to be in class every day on time!
Attendance and tardy policies are listed and explained in the
student agenda book. (ON TIME means in your seat, ready to start
when the bell rings. It does NOT mean running into the room as the
bell is ringing!)
If a student is not in his/her seat when the bell rings, they will
be required to pick-up and fill out their own tardy slip and return
to me immediately.
Tardy slips are turned in to administrators daily, and punishment
will be followed through according to school procedure.
Refusal to fill out and sign a tardy slip results in immediate
disciplinary action.
