10 Delegates. One Chair. One Big Challenge. On the 31 st of August the members of EMPL met their Chair “Running Richard” who would help in their fight against their enemy: unemployment among immigrant youth. To prepare them for the fight, they passed through an intensive Teambuilding. After easy tasks such as “Devil and Angel”, they had to master the more difficult “Walk of Trust”. The “Train of Love” made it all a cake walk that not even the orange-bombs could stop. This training helped them while they took the next step. During the Committee Work the Delegates got acquainted to the essential information on their enemy. It was hard work, plus their time was restricted. Still, they finished their Resolution (fighting strategies) in time. But before they could step into action, their ideas had to be presented to the Super-EYPers Council. Although they were attacked fiercely after their defence, they tiger-upper-cut well. Finally, the EMPL Resolution got the votes: 25 in favour, 22 against and 9 abstentions. It has passed! In addition to this stress, the Delegates had to face language barriers, spiders in the Committee Room and bees in the shower. Some were frightened, but together they managed to endure it. Of course, there were also EMPL’s natural enemies: the other Committees, in constant competitive struggle with each other. EMPL’s speed resulted in their victory at the bucket race – having no real obstacle or competition except the slippery grass. Moreover, their clever conduct during the Coin Game made it easy to defeat their arch enemy. Another hardship during the first days was the Open Stage for which they had to prepare a performance according to the guidelines of the lemon tree. As an result the audience saw a legendary performance. On the 2 nd of September they were confronted with the new concept given to them by the Super-EYPers. Fortunately, they got help from an external partner, Sonja de Ikubiz, who provided them with the secret magic of NGO. With the practical iPhone and their critical and creative sentences, they overcame the first difficulties and could get the ‘light’. After this the magic made the ideas evolve fluently. Keeping in mind the restricted resources, they used this power generously, but wisely. Their success at the Super-EYPers Council and in the arts of magic were celebrated at the Committee Dinner the evening after. It started silently and joyfully – until the arch enemy, DROI, tried to recruit members of Team EMPL. However, Richard’s boundless energy and EMPL’s magic spell “Lapic- lajoc” forced the DROIs to concede defeat and to leave Alt Wiesbaden to them. This even encouraged the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs to practice old and new techniques such as Chicken Pilot and Blumentopf-Banana at midnight. For the last day of preparation they overcame their tiredness with energisers. Due to this they could perfect their fighting strategy (handout) against the unemployment among immigrant youth. The project is ready to be realised. Their enemy won‘t stand a chance of survival. In the Footsteps of Tom Cruise Mission Im possible A Personalised Leaflet for EMPL from the Press Room

10 Delegates. One Chair. One Big Challenge. On the 31st of August the members of EMPL met their Chair “Running Richard” who would help in their fight against their enemy: unemployment among immigrant youth.

EMPL’s speed resulted in their victory at the bucket race –

having no real obstacle or competition except the slippery grass. Moreover, their clever conduct during the Coin Game made it easy to defeat their arch enemy.

Another hardship during the first days was the Open Stage for which they had to prepare a performance according to the guidelines of the lemon tree. As an result the audience saw a legendary performance.

On the 2nd of September they were confronted with the new concept given to them by the Super-EYPers.
