Appollitron Limited is a new British company for whom the world is a possibility-laden

opportunity to develop new ideas into new products for commercial use; 2015 is our first year

of operation and we are poised to make our mark. The company was formed between two

members of the Chelmsford Innovation Group who had discussed collaborative

entrepreneurship and innovation techniques for three years or so. One of the partners, Geoff,

decided in December 2014 to introduce Andrew to one of his new product concepts, which

we called “Reccetest”.

Right now we have developed a new range of game-ified Android apps called "reccetest01",

"reccetest03", "reccetest04" and "reccetest06" which are aircraft and vehicle recognition

testing programs, which can be found on Google Play.

We have other ideas on the drawing board: “Project Y”, which is a PC-based system, “Project

Z” which will be a leading-edge development utilizing web-searching and ai techniques, and

“Project A”, a mobile app project which will build on “Reccetest” experience. We also intend

to add to the “Reccetest” range when we have our marketing in place.

I frequently have ideas to address challenges in society; creating Appollitron Ltd with

Andrew is giving me the ability to translate those ideas to pragmatic solutions for the market.

Thus far it has been a real buzz the commercial sector is an undiscovered country to me with

real opportunities and challenges.

Our methods are derived from our

experience, and from our state-of-the-art

reading about innovation techniques, such

as synectics1, a system for deriving

innovative ideas by bridging the gap

between random concepts, collaborative

entrepreneurship2 which is a form of

“ideas trust”, and modern communications

methods such as “Skype”3 and Mind-

Mapping, using a product called XMind.4

We are not a “bricks-and-mortar”

endeavour, preferring to stay lean-and-

mean using these methods which suits our

Directors’ peripatetic lifestyles.

Our development methods are Agile-

leaning derivatives of earlier styles such as

RAD5, waterfall and conch-shell.

We are using modern programming tools

such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, Phonegap,

MS-Access 2007 VBA.

Our marketing methods are lean-burn

social media approaches, and we are a

keen presence on Twitter6 and our

Facebook7 page.

series of Android game-ified training apps

which enable recognition afficionados to

test their skills with real photographs of

the various military machines included.
