Case : The current Scenario
y Advertising agencies release orders to television channels
with instructions to relay specific commercials at specific
time slots. For multiple release orders for different
channels, it becomes difficult for advertising agencies tomonitor them. The company Digi Ad Inc. specializes in
monitoring such commercials over numerous channels.
y Advertising agencies send a copy to the company stating the
details of the release orders. The company assigns a staff to
watch the commercials that appear on the specific channel at
a specific time. This is recorded on daily basis.

Image Processing and Activity chart
y Digital image processing is the use of computer algorithms to
perform image processing on digital images.
y As a subcategory or field of digital signal processing, digital
image processing has many advantages over analog imageprocessing.
y It allows a much wider range of algorithms to be applied to
the input data and can avoid problems such as the build-up of
noise and signal distortion during processing

Difference in the scenarios
Before implementation After implementation
Manual work Fully automated
Time consuming (3 weeks) Very efficient on time (daily
and weekly reports)
Low efficiency due to humanerror
High efficiency because of the
computerized system.
Costly in terms of time, money
and value
Highly cost efficient
