Miritec was a technical partner of “Billion Reasons to Believe” promo in 6 African countries “BILLION REASONS TO BELIEVE” PROMO IN AFRICAN COUNTRIES COCA-COLA CEWA Coca-Cola CEWA business unit embraces 30 countries from Central, East and West Africa. In Coca-Cola Eurasia & Africa business group, CEWA provides 15% of GDP. Establishment of the unique transport and distributional system is a distinctive feature of CEWA. It is constructed considering spatial coverage and delivery conditions of the area. CHALLENGE “Billion reasons to believe” is a promo of the social nature, and its idea is to encourage young people to share their artistic and professional achievements. Numerous celebrities and acknowledged businessmen from participating countries joined it to inspire others with their success stories. The latter were shaped in videos. Participants should have had an opportunity to create personalized memes with their stories and share them in social media, marked with hashtag of the promo - #IAmAReason. Aside from promo’s emotional background, its viral effect was to get enhanced due birthday greetings’ mechanics. Member countries: Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Mozambique, Ethiopia. TASK Successful launch and implementation of the promo required a multifunctional platform. Its functionality was to enable tools to watch videos, textual descriptions of celebrities’ success stories, and Gallery with their photos. At the same time, participants should have been given user-friendly tools to design memes with their stories and send birthday greetings to friends. High load was one of the crucial requirements for the platform due its geographical coverage. SOLUTIONS The project works covered: platform development and its incorporation with Amazon Web Services; FUTURE STEPS integrate the platform with more social media (Youtube, Pinterest, Disqus); add other languages that prevail in Africa (French, Arabic); increase high load of the platform by 40%.
