IMPORTANT LUNCH NEWS When sending in lunch money for your child, PLEASE make sure you put the money in an envelope clearly marked with your child’s first and last name. We want to make sure that the money gets credited to the correct account. We have pre-printed envelopes available at the front office for your convenience.
From The Principalʼs Desk Budget season is beginning. The administrative team will begin discussing next year’s budget in the coming weeks. Administrators and teachers are already planning for instructional, technology, and facilities needs. I hope that family and community members will add their voices to this process. I’ve already heard that an updated playground is high on the list for many of you. Our PTO and several teachers are already working on this, looking at various grants that may be available. That doesn’t mean that we won’t also look at possible district funds as well. If you have other items that are important or are concerns please call, email, or stop by to see us. You’re also welcome to attend any of the School Board Budget meetings. The earlier you make your interests known the better. Of course there are many items competing for attention and our district’s limited financial resources. We have building improvements that have been put off for years. We need books, staff, updated computers and more. Unfortunately I could go on and on. I know we won’t get everything on our list. We’ll have to prioritize, and making a list is the first step in this long process.
Congratulations to all of our students who were
POLITElast month.

Reminder from The Health Office
School protocol requires any medications (prescription or ANY over-the-counter meds such as Tylenol, cough medicines, antibiotic ointments) that your child may need at school (and administered by school personnel) be brought in by an adult (handed from adult to adult) and requires that a medication administration form be in place at school with parent and physician signatures. This form can be picked up at school or it can be down-loaded from the RSU#40/MSAD#40 website-go to administration--school health services. Also, most physician offices are willing to fax an order for your child to the school if needed, but a parent signature is still required. The school fax number is 832-2101. Parents/ guardians are permitted to come and medicate their own children if needed without the permission forms. Remember to bring in meds in their original containers with your child's name on them. These safeguards are in place for the safety of all our children.
BOXTOPS FOR EDUCATION It’s time to start bringing in your boxtops! Please remember to put you name on the back of the boxtops when you turn them in. Each week we will pick two box tops out of the BIG box in the office. The winners will be able to pick a prize from the Treasure Chest in the office.
CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR BOXTOP WINNERS...
