Sky surfing•A type of skydiving•The diver wears a board attached to his feet

and preforms surfing style aerobatics during the free fall.

•The boards used are smaller than actual surfboard.

•The attachment to the feet is normally made removable, so that if the skydiver loses control or has difficulty opening their parachute, the board can be jettisoned.

•It requires practice.•The jumper must learn to control the

board and their body position so as to open the parachute in time.

•More advanced aerobatics such as loops, rolls and helicopter spins, are more difficult still and are tackled once the basics have been mastered

Ice climbing•Usually, ice climbing refers to roped and

protected climbing of features such as icefalls, frozen waterfalls, and cliffs.

•Mixed climbing involves both ice climbing and rock climbing.

•You pick your equipment according to the slope and texture of the ice.
