The fish fries are at full swing and I hear that the cooks are preparing a baked cod dinner this year. I’m told that it is very yummy, so stop out on Friday night 5-8 p.m. and try it out. We are also in need of people to volunteer to help with the fish fry. There is a signup sheet in the hallway so come pick a date and help your club out. You also get a free fish dinner for doing so, so wow, what a deal! We have a Halloween party on the 27 th with a costume contest so come dressed to win. If you have never been to the Halloween party it is a great time and lots of fun and games to participate in. We have a winter bazaar happening in November. If you have goods and wares to sell or want to find out more about this wonderful event, call Shawn Cohee at 989-750-8098 and she will be glad to tell you more about it. If you want to get a table call soon as they are going fast. Reminder that Business meetings are the second and fourth Tuesday at 7 and are open to all members. From your Vice President:

Hello Eagle members and guests: This month I would like to talk about the benefits of being a member of the FOE. Aside from providing a relaxed, friendly atmosphere for people to gather, and the more than $10 million a year that the FOE donates to communities, fundraisers, and charities, there are many benefits available just for being a member. Discounts: Eagle members receive discounts on a wide range of goods and services. Red Roof Inns, Motel 6, and any brand of the Wyndham hotel group (Ramada, Baymont, Days Inn, Super 8, Travelodge, and more). Avis and Budget rental cars as well as Budget Truck Rentals. Travel discounts from LMT Club, Cruises Only, TNT Vacations, and more. Insurance discounts from Nationwide, Mutual of Omaha, and more. Shop online at Azigo.com and earn cash back by shopping your favorite stores like Kohl’s, Target, Walgreens, Home Depot, Best Buy, and many more. This is just a sampling of the discounts available to Eagle members. Visit https://www.foe.com/About-The-Eagles/Member-Benefits for the complete list. Memorial Foundation: The children of Eagle members are automatically covered under this unprecedented program. If an Eagle member dies while serving their country or at work, their eligible children may receive educational grants, medical, dental, and optical benefits, hospitalization, and psychiatric care. Visit https://www.foe.com/Charities/Memorial-Foundation to learn more about eligibility and benefits. Incentives: Who likes cash and prizes??? You could win $5,000 by reenrolling former members between June 1 – November 30 and December 1 – May 31. Reenroll a member OR sign up a new member at any time before May 31, and you could win $10,000. Every new member or reenroll that you propose gets you an entry into the drawings. There are also Guaranteed prizes for cool swag to be awarded for signing up members. Check the aerie bulletin boards for flyers. For Those Who Serve: An outstanding program to thank those who have, and who still serve our country and community. Active and Retired Law Enforcement Officers, Firefighters, EMTs, Corrections Officers, Active Military including National Guard and Reserves, Volunteer Firefighters and EMTs, and Honorably Discharged/Retired/Inactive Military all receive their first year of membership in the FOE for FREE. Just one way in which the FOE gives back to those who give so much in support of the ideals on which this organization was founded; Liberty, Truth, Justice, Equality. https://www.foe.com/About-The-Eagles/Those-Who-Serve Thank you for your attention and enjoy the club! From the Eagle Riders:

Hi Eagle Riders,

The snow is not far away now but this extended warm weather has been great. The leaves are

changing and look amazing to see. If you haven’t been able to enjoy a color tour you missed out it

was just gorgeous, and the trip through the tunnel of trees was a memorable one.

I was able to get out and ride on Sunday; made it to Leota and ran into Charlie and Wendy there (that

was a nice surprise to see them enjoying the last days before putting the covers on them) And yes, I

beat the rain, made it home just in time, not a drop.

Everyone have a great Halloween and see you all around. Remember to come to the Halloween

party at the club on the 27th; it will be a lot of fun.

Trustee Corner

HELP!-Spread the Word! To keep our club costs down and provide inexpensive liquor and food our club is heavily based on

volunteerism. We are in dire need of more volunteers for a variety of needs. We will take as little or

as much time you can afford. Even if it is 1 hour a week that will help!

Also, we need to beef up or list of bartenders and waiter/waitresses for tables. The pay is

predominantly based on tips with a small hourly compliment.

Our officers will be reaching out to our membership for this cause as it is critical. Our hours that the

club will be open will be dependent on the response we get. If you would like to proactively sign up

as a volunteer and/or a bartender please contact Mark Fetterolf at (989)859-5376.
