This was the most recurring element throughout the looks. Playing with texture in this way created a visually stimulating effect as the models strutted down the runway and the feathers moved with each step. The show also explored with a range of colors, patterns and silhouettes. Flirty feathers took over the runway when Michael Kors unveiled his fall 2016 ready-to-wear collection on February 17th, 2016
during New York Fashion Week. This was the most recurring element throughout the looks. Playingwith texture in this way created a visually stimulating effect as the models strutted down the runway and the feathers moved witheach step. The show also explored with a range of colors, patterns and silhouettes. However, the looks remained wearable andeven substituted typical heels for flats in many of the looks, making them more comfortable for daily wear.

Faux fur and sequins were major other trends in the show. The combination of these two elementscreated a luxe effect in many of the ensembles, such as the look on the left. Overall, the faux fur trend had bigger volume thanever and was incorporated in many ways from jackets to cuff sleeves. Sequins came in a variety of colors and patternarrangements. The design concept Michael Kors had for fall was fresh and unique from his past work while keeping his signaturetouches on all of the pieces. Each and every look sent down the runway commanded attention in its own way. This was also his35th fall collection, which is definitely an anniversary to celebrate. Due to this fact and the hype for the collection, there weremany important faces in the audience.
Seated front row at the Michael Kors runway show was the ultimate golden girl, Blake Lively, whoattended with her mother. Earlier in the day, Blake was also seen wearing a bold, red poppy applique dress designed by MichaelKors. For the runway show, Blake wore a classy, form fitting lace dress and some major bling to support Michael Kors. She wasquoted saying, “It’s always nice to see what’s been in his head, where he’s traveled this year, what inspired him.” Also inattendance at the Michael Kors show were Olivia Munn, Jessica Hart and Jennifer Hudson.
