To deactivate the metabolite sensors and to convert the system to a BGA+E analyser perform following steps:

    1. remove the tube set meta (Figure A) form the right roller-pump2. Install the tube set BGA+E (Figure B) on the right roller-pump as shown in Figure B.

    3. Exchange of calibration- and WASH solutions

    a. Remove calibration solution CAL4+M (Art. No. 40 6 10 56) from the analyser.b. Install calibration solution CAL4 (Art. No. 40 6 10 55) at the position of the removed CAL4+M.c. Remove rinsing solution WASH2+M (Art. No. 40 6 10 11) from the analyser.d. Install rinsing solution WASH2 (Art. No. 40 6 10 10) at the position of the removed

    WASH2+M.

    4. Change of Parameter configuration in the program

    a. Turn OFF analyserb. Turn ON analyserc. PressfunctionkeyRESETwithinthefirst3secondsafterswitchingon.Analysermustbein

warm up then.d. Enter calibration data according to dialoguee. Press PROGRAM key 3 times for menu STANDARD DATAf. Presskey0forparameterconfigurationg. Select the BGA and ISE parameters by ON h. Select the parameters HB, GLU and LAC by OFFi. Turn OFF analyserj. Turn ON analyserk. PressfunctionkeyRESETwithinthefirst3secondsafterswitchingon.l. Enter calibration data.

Remarks:Proceed in reverse order to take the metabolite sensors back in operation. Please note that it might be necessary to use new metabolite sensors when changing the configurationbackthetheBGA+E+Metaversion!

Instructions for taking the metabolite sensors out of operation temporarily

    a. Select STANDARD-DATA menu by pressing the PROGRAM key 3 timesb. Press key 5 to select the program SENSOR SELECTIONc. Activate BGA and Electrolyte sensors by pressing function key ON Inactivate GLU and LAC sensors by pressing function key OFFd. BGA and Electrolyte sensors are now ACTIVE while metabolite sensors are OFF

See Instruction manual chapter 3.5.3.5 Sensor Selection

Remark:Any tube- and solution exchange is not required when metabolite sensors are switched OFF in theSENSORSELECTIONprogram!Metabolite sensors do not provide any results and will not participate at the calibration procedure. For re-activation of the sensors select SENSOR SELECTION program again and activate sensors by pressing ON key.
