MESA UNION ATHLETICS PROGRAM

NEW BASKETBALL UNIFORMS have arrived! PFO continues to roll out new athletic uniforms. After outfitting girls’ volleyball and flag football teams with new royal blue uniforms, we turn to basketball uniforms now! Brand new uniforms were already delivered to a few of our teams last week. Matching (and in most cases right sized) uniforms help our tiger athletes feel unified as a team and show pride and spirit as they represent Mesa Union School. We have over 10 basketball teams representing grades 4-8 in Oxnard and Camarillo leagues. Coaches are also being outfitted with matching polos for their hard work with our players. New uniforms are a major expense. To offset this cost, we are asking every parent to consider donating $30 per sport their child is participating in here at Mesa. Every athlete should have received an Athletics Donation Form from their coach; the form can also be found in this Mesa Matters and PFO Website. Please turn in your donation to the office, Mr. Rosen, your coach, or PFO officers. Thank you to those parents who have already generously donated the $30. GO TIGERS! Please note that in addition to the uniforms, PFO covers –

Registration fees f in both Camarillo & Oxnard leagues

Referee fees for all games played in the Camarillo League

Other equipment – such as tabletop scoreboard, field markers & more!

Lastly, please remember to RETURN YOUR UNIFORMS (football, basketball, and soccer) at the end of each season. These uniforms will be recycled every season for our athletes.

MESA UNION ATHLETICS PROGRAM - DONATION PFO has partnered with the Mesa Union Athletics program to fund its activities. In order to maintain a sustainable Athletics Program, we need your help! PFO is budgeted to expend $10,000 for athletics this year. PFO will be paying for team registration fees, referee fees, uniforms and equipment. PFO will be working with Coach Rosen to prioritize Athletic Program needs.

To help ensure that our coaches and teams have the resources they need, we are asking for a $30 donation for each sport that your student is playing. Please complete a new form for each sport/team that your student is part of.

We are also looking for PFO Members-Athletics Boosters. Athletics Booster will be full voting members of PFO helping provide feedback and direction on the use of funds. PFO is also in need of Volunteer Coordinators for each sport that will help determine equipment needs for their sport and recommend purchases to PFO.
