If you wish you could be a better mom, you’re not alone. Work-ing mom's guilt is practically an epidemic. Remember That All Moms Have Challenges -When you're feeling work-family conflict, it's easy to idealize the life you would have as a stay-at-home mom. You imagine dancing through fields of dandelions with your children, scrapbooking every precious milestone and building their IQ to genius level. The reality is that stay-at-home parents can have as much stress as working parents, if not more, depending on the age, tempera-ment and number of kids. Go ahead, relish your solo commute to work or that quiet cup of coffee at your desk. If you were at home full-time, you might be lucky to shower in private. Bear in Mind That Life Changes - The choices you've made about work may seem like forever now, but who knows what the future holds. The at-home mom who sneers at you during the school open house may end up going back to work after her hus-band is laid off. So keep your own mind open to the possibility that your personal and family dynamics may shift. Revisit your work-life balance periodically to make sure it still meets your needs.

1. Limit Kids' Activities—Just say NO to over-scheduling. Limit your kids to one afterschool activity 2. Limit Yourself—As a parent, you too have your limits. Basically, you get one evening out during the week. P.S. Mom & Dad: This doesn't preclude a "date night" for you guys! Keep the Love Train on track by scheduling a qui-et evening for two now and then. 3. Kill the TV -Turn off the TV during meals. 4. Candlelight Dinners 5. Brunch!—Make brunch for your bunch every Sunday 6. A Reading Tree—Find a tree in your backyard or local park; claim it as your own. Bring a book and a blanket, and make it a regular spot for story time. 7. Cook Double—Cook double, and save time and trouble. 8. Pick Your Own—Go apple-picking with your family (or any fruit or veggie, for that matter)! 9. Catch Some Winks—Not kidding with this one: Get some sleep! Lights out by 10 p.m., 11 o'clock at the latest. 10. TGIF Fun Night—Friday night, is one of the best times to focus on family. Grab a takeout pizza and head back to the ranch. Let kids take turns each week setting the agenda.

May is a month filled with emotions.
As the end of our school year approaches, we
marvel at how much your children have
grown, in so many ways. Lots of new skills
have given your children a new sense of con-
fidence and a ‘can
do’ spirit. We are
confident your chil-
dren are ready to
move on and we will
miss them dearly.
Please encourage your child's thirst
for knowledge and find time in your schedule
to spare a few minutes each day to help your
child continue to learn. Have a nice summer.
Mayo es un mes lleno de emociones. A
Estamos
seguros de que sus ni-
ños están listos para se-
guir adelante y los va-
mos a extrañar.
divertido verano.
