Football Meeting Point© is a project for those who get a kick out of playing the most popular sport in the world, founded by people who love the game. The name of the project says it all.

We wanted to create a platform for the benefit of football enthusiasts everywhere, so we came up with one.

Large potential audienceFootball is a most popular sport in the World. In Russia football is played by ca. 8.5M (6% of total population).

Few clubs and schools, which are mainly run by volunteers and poorly paid trainers, are therefore faced with an ever-increasing number of football-mad people.

Unique and viable service beyond competitionPermitting creation of one’s own football team, searching for opponents and managing one’s own football life

There are a lot of Internet sources, providing football fans oriented information, but NO communication network for unprofessional football players.

In 2007 Russian Football Union became member of the UEFA Charter created with the aim of supporting the grassroots activities of its member associations – these include nurturing women's and girls' football, and developing social programmes such as disability football.

Currently, there are over 2,500 youth football academies and football sections nationwide, with some 450,000 kids from 8 to 17 years of age enrolled. In urban and rural areas throughout Russia, there are about 12,000 football pitches and 1,732 stadia with a capacity of less than 500 spectators. Organized football under the governance of the Football Union of Russia is growing on an annual basis, with a total current participation of 835,000 participants, 4,200 of them at the professional level.
