1 This product is designed and manufactured as a general industrial machine part.It must be handled by an operator having sufficient knowledge and experience in handling.

2 Use this product in accordance with specifications.This product must be used within its stated specifications. In addition, never modify or additionally machine this product.This product is intended for use in general industrial machinery equipment or parts. It is not intended for use outdoors (except for products with outdoor specifications) or for use under the following conditions or environments.(Note that this product can be used when CKD is consulted prior to its usage and the customer consents to CKD product specifications. Design/selectionCAUTION

Consider use only after carefully confirming device structural materials (only exterior parts are stainless steel), the valve structure, working fluids, and compatibility with the working environment.

Bearings used in cylinders contain trace amounts of mineral oil. This is processed so as not to cause discharges within product specifications. However, keep the installation location in mind.

Mounting, installation and adjustmentCAUTION

Do not turn the cover. If the cover is turned when mounting the cylinder or screwing the pipe fitting into the port, the breakage from the cover connection could occur.

During Use & maintenance

CAUTION When moving the switch position to the stroke length direction

When fine-tuning the switch position, move the band position.

Loosen the switch fixing screw, shift the switch along the rail, then tighten at the specified position.Tighten using a tightening torque of 0.5 to 0.7 N·m.

When moving the switch position to the circumferential direction

Loosen the band fixing screw, shift the switch rail in the circumference direction, then tighten at the specified position.Tightening torque is 0.6 to 0.8 N·m.

Minimize cleaning of the sliding sections. Grease should be applied after cleaning. If water splattering is temporary, periodically apply grease. Contact CKD for details on maintenance greases.

Do not apply an eccentric load to the piston rod. The service life of the scraper or bearing could be shortened.

Mount the speed controller on the cylinder. Mount the speed controller on the cylinder.Use each cylinder within the applicable working piston speed range.

If not exposed to water splattering, the lubrication of the piston rod will run out and the service life will be shortened.

Apply grease when using the pin to prevent seizing.

When shifting the band position Loosen the band fixing screw, shift the switch rail and band along the cylinder tube, and tighten at the specified position.Tightening torque is 0.6 to 0.8 N·m.

After installing, check for leaks from pipes and for wire connections, and check that the product is correctly installed.

Do not use products as footing or place any heavy objects on top of the products.

If the product has not been in use for over one month, perform a test run before starting actual operation.
