In Field Operations:
Oversee the general health and safety of the expedition and provide medical treatment to the staff and volunteers. Organise and manage a general health clinic for the local communities. Design and run a healtheducation programme for local communities and surrounding villages. Maintenance of medical supplies, introductory health & hygiene briefing for all expedition staff and volunteers. Enforcement of on-site health and safety measures.
Provide health care and emergency medical treatments to all company personel, expedition volunteers
Run a general health clinic for the local village communities.
Maintenance of all medical supplies and equipment on site, keeping control of all stock levels.
Submitting regular reports to the Head of Operations at the Barefoot Conservation Head Office
Maintenance of all expedition staff, volunteers and scholarships candidates medical records.
Hold introductory briefings with new expedition personel on health and hygiene while on site.
Enforce all Barefoot Conservations policies and procedures on expedition health and safety while on site.
Provide general health care for the expedition team, including local staff if needed. Deal with any emergencymedical situations that may arise, include organising emergency evacuations in the unlikely event this is needed.
Design, organise and manage a general health clinic for the local communities, to be run every two weeks, ormore regular should the need arise. This health clinic will involve education on general health care, hygieneand prevention methods. The clinic is not designed to replace the local hospital but work in partnership withit. If possible a representative from the local hospital will be present during these health clinics.
Provide new staff, volunteers and scholars with an expedition health & hygiene briefing on their arrival. Thishappen within 24 hours of their arrival. At this briefing you must make the new arrivals fully aware of allMUST
Barefoot Conservations policies & procedures on health and safety for the site. It is also your responsibility to then enforce these policies and procedures, when necessary involving the PSM/EL if constant breaches byother staff, volunteers or scholars happens.
Undertake the two week Science Training Programme (STP) and once qualified take part in science survey dives when necessary. Help the science team with new recruits to the STP by taking them on spot dives.
Bi-weekly reports must be submitted to the Head of Operation, detailing all medical incidents that have-
happened during that 2 weeks, without revealing confidential information. In this report must be accurate details of stock levels for medical supplies and equipment.

Keep up to date accurate records of all Barefoot Conservation medical supplies and equipment, includingregular stock takes. When necessary source replacement or new supplies for out of date stock from the the nearest town or city.
Maintain accurate medical records for each expedition team member including scholars and local staff ifnecessary. Make sure these records remain confidential and that all individuals feel comfortable to approachyou in confidence.
Free PADI Rescue and Divemaster course.**
Up to £500 end of contract travel reimbursment bonus, depending on personal and company performance during contract term.

Travel to the expedition site must be paid for by the candidate. All visa extensions

* Initial Social Visa fee must be paid for by the volunteer staff member, all extensions after
will be paid for by Barefoot Conservation.*
